Money held in escrow

Employers pay up front; workers get paid the moment the job's marked done. Nobody chases anybody.

Verified people only

Real profiles, ratings, and reviews on both sides. You see who you're hiring before they show up.

Pricing that stays fair

Mula suggests a fair band for every job, so workers aren't lowballed and employers aren't gouged. Workers always set their own price.

Bids in minutes

Post a job and watch nearby pros bid in real time. Workers nearby get notified as soon as you post.

How it works

From “I need this done” to done.

Three steps if you're hiring, three if you're working — same app, same account.

For employers
01

Post the job

Describe what you need and set a budget. It's free, and it takes about a minute.

02

Review bids

Verified workers nearby bid within a suggested fair range. Compare on value, not just price.

03

Pay when it's done

Fund escrow when you hire, then release payment the moment the job's marked complete.

For workers
01

Find local jobs

Browse jobs near you, filtered by category, distance, and pay.

02

Place your bid

You set your own price. Mula shows a fair range as a guide — never a requirement.

03

Get paid

Mark the job done and your payout releases from escrow right away.

Why Mula

The group chat wasn't built for this.

Finding local help today means begging in Facebook groups and hoping for the best. Mula makes it a real marketplace.

A fair price band — no race to the bottom

The fair band

No race to the bottom.

Other gig apps push prices down until the work isn't worth doing. Mula suggests a fair price band for every job — grounded in the work and local rates — but workers set their own price, always.

  • A fair floor, suggested not enforced

Mula suggests a fair minimum for every job as a guide to real take-home pay — workers can still bid above or below it.

  • Budget is a guide, not a cap

Bid what the job's worth. Great work can earn above the suggested budget.

  • Meet in the middle, automatically

Far apart on price? Mula proposes one fair middle so deals don't stall.

Questions

Good to know.

Who sets the price for a job?

Workers do. Mula shows a suggested fair range based on the job and local rates, but every worker sets their own bid — there's no required price and no maximum.

Are workers employed by Mula?

No. Workers on Mula are independent — they choose which jobs to bid on, set their own prices, and aren't supervised, scheduled, or directed by Mula. Mula is a neutral marketplace that connects workers and employers and holds payment in escrow.

How does payment work?

When an employer accepts a bid, the agreed amount goes into escrow. The worker gets paid the moment the job is marked complete — nobody has to chase anybody.

What does Mula cost?

Posting a job and placing a bid are both free. A small platform fee applies only when a job is completed and paid out.

What if something goes wrong with a job?

Both sides leave a review after every job, and escrowed funds aren't released until the work is confirmed done — if there's a dispute, payment stays held until it's resolved.

Where is Mula available?

Mula is live across Toms River, Lakewood, Jackson, Howell, and Brick, NJ, with more areas coming as more workers and employers join.
